After 25+ Years with Chess House ... Big Move

Whether you've been following Chess House for 25 years or a just a few weeks, I have a big announcement:

It's March 1, 2025 and it's time to put it out there.

Chess House is relocating and I'm ready for the amazing future with it!!

I've never been more excited to grow Chess House with my current team and YOU - our amazing tribe of customers who approach chess for so many interesting reasons.

My oldest is 15 and is asking to be more actively involved so if that's not extra motivation...

There were times through the years running this company that I wondered what in the world I was doing and whether I should stick with it. Things got quite challenging. (Anyone that's started or run a business knows what I'm talking about.) And I thank my incredible wife for her support through those times.

I count it a privilege to bring this worthy game to the world in a way that's uniquely Chess House. So first, THANK YOU for being part of Chess House a customer and going with us on this journey!

Most of you don't know much about me personally. I've spent significant time serving with a humanitarian ministry, in general aviation, with family being my first priority over the last many years. Meanwhile I've been running Chess House because I enjoy it and it has paid the bills most of the time. It's never been about massive growth as a company - I just wanted to run a great company, whatever the size. These days we're growing again!

Yes, Chess House is relocating over the coming months to the Midwest. (by end of June!)

There are many reasons for this: It's a strategic move, 5+ years in the making.

1. This means that customers on the East coast of the U.S. are going to benefit from more rapid transit times! In fact anywhere in the U.S. will be at most 3-4 days.
2. Almost all of the current team is staying with the company so there will be very little change in that way! (Paul just achieved 10 years with us!)
3. I am preparing to move more into customer focused video media which has largely taken a back seat in the last years. The new facility will be more suited to this!
4. We have innovations that I want to share with you over the coming year!
