Fits my American Staunton chess pieces with room to spare. See photo. The box is nice and sturdy & reasonably priced. However, there appears to be three scratches on it, hence the four-star review.
Great little box. I purchased for my 3.75” king set (with extra queens). Set fits well. Beautiful and attractive finish.
This is an excellent price point storage box for the price. I have not found a better value. The cheap 25.00-30.00 boxes at walmart don’t even compare. I purchased more after receiving this order. Yes, there are better boxes to be had but at almost double the price of these. I have one suggestion. Put an option for a cushioned bottom for 10-12 bucks more and you will corner the market even more because no one will be offering at this price.
This is a great chess box. It's big enough for all my chess pieces including two extra queens. I have a chess set with 4'' king. It's looking very nice and the lock is working well. It's lined with black felt inside and on the bottom of the box which I really like. The separator inside the box staying put exactly in the center while I loading and unloading my chess pieces. I couldn't ask for a better box and price was the best from all chess boxes available on line.
The box is really great quality for the price.
