From Italy, this brass and silver finish metal chess set plays on an elegant black and amber tooled leatherette board with storage. The pieces are solid metal and are brass and silver plated. They do not have to be polished as they have a protective coating on top so they will not tarnish. The board is a leatherette (vinyl) over pressed wood. Made in Italy.

Terrific set and delivery

Was looking for a set no larger than 12x12 to display/play in the apartment - this one hit it out of the park. The pieces are heavy and unique, and go perfectly with the board, which has its own subtle beauty (and storage!) Tagged along with Chess House's communications and expedited delivery, my first investment in a chess set (all my others are gifts!) was a real treat.
