First really nice chess set

This is my first really nice chess set. It is larger than I imagined. The drawback of shopping online. It is beautiful. Our opinions sometimes change over time. But today I am very happy with the set!

Walnut wood chessboard set & checkers set

I purchased this set for my grandson and myself. He is almost 12 and started playing chess at his local library. I played chess several years ago with my son. We were both very pleased with this chess board and the chess pieces. The quality, style and weight of the board and pieces fantastic. My younger granddaughter is excited to play checkers as well. Walnut wood chess and checkers set

Purchased for my son. Walnut storage very nice, but chess board itself disappointing. It came with a very nice set of chess pieces but no checkers. We will be returning it and selecting a different board.

VERY NICE BOARD

I bought this board to teach my grandson to play. It's seems well built and it's very attractive. I expected the pieces to be a little larger but the large board squares will accommodate and increased piece size when I'm ready to buy him a set for a birthday or Christmas gift and probably from Chess House.
