Chess4Life Starter Set

I bought this chess set because I taught my coworkers how to play chess. We learned on a very tiny, 60-year-old board. I like the big, durable pieces because these new players can very easily tell the differences between them. One complaint I heard from a coworker was that the size of the board made it, "hard to see all the action at once," like with a smaller board. I think they got over it, though, haha. My only suggestion would be to include some kind of "starter guide," like a small sheet of paper that tells new players how to set up the board and what all of the pieces do. I'm not always going to be here to answer their questions, so having a quick reference would be nice. I'm looking at the board right now as I write this review, and I see that white has been set up on the wrong side of the board and the white queen is starting on the wrong square haha.

Very pleased dealing with Chess House. The starter chess set that I purchased was an excellent value. My grandson and I are very happy with it.

This chess set arrived about a week ago and has been getting daily use since. My daughters play each other every day at least once, often more. I would definitely recommend this set, although az much as they use it, i wish i had purchased the set with the travel bag.
