About The Millennium Chess Computer - The King Competition

The modern design King COMPETITION is a perfect chess computer for playing at home. It's built with the legendary "King" program by Johan de Koning.

It's ideal for all ages and levels!

Comfortable size 17.2" square board lights up to display each move that you play on a smooth pressure sensor technology.

Play either classic chess or the popular Chess960 variant according to the official FIDE rules.

Four adaptive game levels adjust to your abilities! On the entry level, even novices have fun playing the computer when it is easy to defeat. ELO levels give an estimate of your own rating.

The King is stronger than the Chess Genius with an estimated 2450 ELO. With this chess computer you play like a king!

The menu system can be set to comfort (easy) or expert mode to find your way around the extensive feature set.

The brightness of LED move display lights can be adjusted perfectly to your needs.

Very happy customer

Found this Millennium King Competition online and decided the price was so good I would buy it. As a customer from the UK I was expecting the item to take a long time to arrive but no! just a few days and it was delivered, well packed and very fast. The computer is excellent and contains the strongest desktop chess computer program the King which plays as near to human chess as a computer can, none of this reduced ability nonsense you get with the chess engines. If you want an electronic chess partner for the many advantages it holds over playing chess online then you get it all with the Millennium team competition as you can choose from several different strengths and many different time set up's but there is a slight downside to this because you get so many options and features you have alot to learn in order to correctly use the electronic computer display, my advice is to download the full instruction manual off the Millennium website and read it and learn it all so you can get the most out of the computer. Worth every cent (or penny as we say in GB).

Excellent Computer Chess Board

It is exactly what I expected. The board looks very thin and I like that. The quality of the construction and the quality of the parts are very good. The menu is pretty user friendly, but I recommend downloading the manuals and reading them. The process of doing update is very simple, but it is necessary to read the manual. The only thing that I don't like and took me by surprise is that those of us who live outside Europe can't register on the Millenium website to receive the latest notifications.

Chess House could produce a future World Chess Champion

The High School where Millennium King Competition would act as an instructor could produce a World Chess Champion. I am justifiably optimistic for the High School's Chess Club. This computer not only competes at different levels. Lets be realistic, a H.S. student is unlikely playing chess at International Master or Grand Master strength. That is why this computer offers various levels. It can study puzzles or positions.
Mate with K-N-B vs K. Mate with K-2B vs. K-N. Mate with K-R vs. K...
The bottom line is kids are developing their logic. Thanks Chess House.
