I purchased this as a gift, and it arrived in a battered box with the veneer peeling off the set. It looked used and ruined from wear and I was unable to give it as a gift. Very disappointed. There was no response when I alerted the company. Good Luck!
This chess board is stunning. The colors of the wood are beautiful and the finish is just right. It enhances the wood perfectly. I love the storage area below. My pieces fit nicely. The grid is removable and my intention will be to line it with felt. So happy I finally purchased a board.
