About The Wooden BHB Chess Clock

This traditional chess clock has a BHB wind-up mechanism built into a larger wooden case with no stand. Its design and size correspond with our plastic Classic clock however the case is made from beech wood. BHB is one of the market leaders of traditional analogue chess clocks. This quality clock has large, bright faces that are easy to read and features a very large flag mechanism. Suitable for Schools and Tournaments.

Doesn't last

Don't overpay for this clock. The winding mechanism seizes up over time to the point you can't wind it anymore and you're left with a nice looking paperweight. Will not last, but works for a few years.

I like it. Now that I got one that works.

The first one I was sent was defective. But a new one was shipped out very quickly and this new one seems to work fine (although I've only had it for 1/2 a day). As far as value goes, I'm not sure. I'm a sucker for wood and analog stuff so I probably overpaid. It feels like a $30 item I paid $90 for. But that's ok. I'm happy with it. The clock is real wood with nice golden rims. Very classy and exactly what I was looking for. Here's to hoping it continues to work. But I do think I will ding it 1 star based on value.
